It's been an amazing 2 months and 3 weeks!! For those who may live in a cave, Megan arrived exactly one month early. She decided that she wanted December 1st to be her birthday - not January 1st. And after 22 hours of pretty bad labor, she got her way. She arrived on Monday, December 1 at 9:27pm. She weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and was 19.25" long.
With the exception of being a little small and having some jaundice, she was in perfect health! We had to take a weekend trip back to the hospital on her first weekend so they could zap the jaundice, but after that she was fine! It took her a little while to start gaining some good weight, but once she did she was unstoppable!
So now here we are closing up February....
She's rolled from her back to her belly 5 times (that was at the end of January)
She's smiling all the time She's cooing (that's Dr speak for "talking")
She's been sleeping through the night for the past few nights She's holding her head up like a champ
It really is amazing how fast they change! Eric and I both agree that we can't really remember our lives before she came along! It's amazing how much we love our little baby girl. My mom was worried she wasn't going to know her own name because no one ever calls her Megan! Some of her nicknames:
Peanut Peanut Butter Butt Nut Nutty Munchkin
Baby Girl Babe Girl
BoogerBot
Boogie
I've attached a couple of pictures from birth till now. Amazing!
